Pressure Cooker Beef Stroganoff

I threw this in the old pressure cooker last night and it came out pretty good. Serves 4-6 but recipe can easily be doubled. Fast, inexpensive and the teenagers like it!

1 lb Stew Meat
1 Tbsp Flour
1 Tbsp. Veg. Oil
1 4oz. Can Mushrooms drained (reserve liquid)
1 Med. Onion
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Pepper
Dash Ground Marjoram
2 tsp. Dry Mustard
3 Tbsp. Ketchup
1/2 Cup Dairy Sour Cream

1. Roll beef in flour. Brown in hot Vegetable in cooker.
2. Add enough water to reserved mushroom liquid to measure 1 1/2 cups.
3. Add mushrooms, mushroom-water mixture, and remaining ingredients, except sour cream.
4. Cover and cook 15 minutes after control jiggles.
5. Cool cooker normally for 5 minutes, then place under faucet.
6. Stir in Sour Cream and heat through. Serve with noodles.

  1. Hi Monica! How you doing, my friend? This sounds wonderful, and oh so comfort foody!!!
I don't have a pressure cooker, but have made a similar recipe. I loved it but hubby wasn't a big fan!!

Hope all is going well with you!! I'm good and have started to rebuild my stamina and doing some light exercises. Feels so great to be able to move more freely and get some things accomplished!! We take SO much for granted!!

    Love and hugs to you!!

  3. Hey Becky,

This is my first pressure cooker. Even though my mother always used one...my husband always talked me out of getting one. You see...his mother was sort of a disaster in the kitchen...and well they ended up with a hole in their ceiling. lol

Normally I don't much care for anything served over noodles...but it really hit the spot.

My knee is doing much better! Still getting over the sinus/nose spray stuff..but it is improving. I noticed some green buds in the tree's today...Spring is on it's way!
