In Need Of Prayers

As most of you know my friend Marlaina had emergency surgery a little more than a week ago to remove an enormous cyst from her ovary. Thanks to the Lord and the many prayers that were said for her quick recovery....she came through the surgery, and returned to work yesterday. My friend is again in need of your prayers...at 9am this morning Marley's husband Joe was on his way home from work and was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident. Someone in a van ran a stop sign and rather than be hit...Joe took his bike down. I truly believe that this saved his life...however his body was then tossed along the asphalt road. It took the skin off of quite a bit of his body. Currently he is still in the trauma unit and is in a great deal of pain. They have been giving him morphine but he is still hurting very badly. Once you scrape off that much skin...the nerves are exposed. They also found some blood in his urine so we are waiting to hear the results of his scans and blood work. Please pray for my friends...they both work so hard and have been through so much lately.

  2. Good news! He is going to be OK. They have let him go home. He bruised his kidney's and that is where the blood came from. He will recover but he is going to be hurting for quite awhile. He lost quite a bit of flesh and gosh I can only imagine how uncomfortable that must be. Fortunately Marley is a nurse...so she knows how to care for his wounds properly. His wrist is what seems to be bothering him the most. The hospital did an x-ray and didn't see a break...but you can just look at it and see that it is distorted. Sometimes there can be so much swelling that breaks can be missed. So they will be seeing their family physician hopefully today.

I tell ya Tricia...that old saying "when it rains it pours" is so true. They have been through enough lately. Hopefully some good fortune is headed their way.
