Favorite Photo Friday

I haven't done a "Favorite Photo Friday" in a long time. We had a really nice day today. Randy and Caleb had the day off from work and school...so we spent most of the day outside. Fall is is just about a done deal here in Southeast Texas. It has been cold all week, but today was really nice. Except for the mosquito's! (Where in the world do they hide out when it is cold?) Randy decided that it was a good time to clean up a little outside, and he had some great helpers. The secong and last photograph's are without a doubt my favorites. Caleb had been trying to talk Gianna into taking a ride in the wheel barrow. He decided to get in, and show her how much fun she would have. In the end he convinced her, but I think what he really wanted was for his daddy to push him around the yard.

Favorite Photo Friday

Thank goodness the weekend is finally here! I am tired...mostly due to the allergy medication. I think this is the worst Spring (allergy wise) I've had in a long time. It's not just me....everyone seems to be caughing and sneezing. Anyway...I am looking forward to some extra snoozing. Today's photo's are mostly of Caleb's Movie Party last weekend. They had a lot of fun running around outside playing...!!!oops!!! I mean working very hard on their very important movie! >insert eye roll here< Their movie is well...SILLY..But it is funny. We really enjoy these kids so much. I got a few of the outside critters. The Dove's are a family that were already living in our shed when we moved into this house over 2 years ago. They used to feed under the bird feeder way back in the yard...but now come right up on the deck. I just love Doves. They mate for life and the father helps raise the young. Oh and we got Sparky a new feeder...now he doesn't have to eat with all the other squirrels at the big feeder. He has his own filled with sunflower seeds, peanuts and corn. We also have a mama cat that has been coming up on the deck for food. One of my neighbors says that she has kittens in their shed...she is a stray and thin so even though my hubby said "DO NOT FEED IT"...yeah right! Well...Thats it for this week...Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

P.S. I would sure appreciate it if you could include my parents in your prayers....They had to have their dog put to sleep this afternoon. He was old and very sick so they knew this was for the best...but still they are heart broken. I am really proud of them both for doing the most humane, loving act possible....and the hardest. He was a great dog...Rest in peace Bernie!

Favorite Photo Friday

I would have to say that my favorite photo of the week would have to be "The Girl Pile". They were trying to make a pyramid and this just happened. I have always believed that the unplanned makes the best photo's. If even just for a moment...these girls are in no hurry to grow up. Each of them so different and all so beautiful.

Coming in second is Matthew and the Red Balloon. It was one of the balloons from Shelbys B-day party...and he wanted it so bad. I just wish I could have cpatured the look on his face as his brother cut it down and gave it to him.

Our unexpected visitor was both scary yet quite a beautiful surprise.

And last...but certainly not least...Princess Lucy's new box. She has loved boxes since she was a kitten. It doesn't matter what size the box...she is in it. She has no idea that she has a bit of a weight problem...so to watcher her cram herself into tiny boxes is hysterical! Well, I got a package this week and this box is a perfect fit. She is in it almost all day!

Favorite Photo Friday! 03/13/09

Well I am running a little late with this..OK I am running A LOT late. I spent a few hours today grooming Joey...Her hair was getting in her eyes so bad that she was beginning to run into things...So here she is before...

I cut her just a little shorter than I like...but its OK...in two weeks it will be perfect.

We have also had company for the past two days...Shelby's friend Bonnie came to spend a little time with us...We sure have enjoyed her...They giggled well into the wee hours of the morning...and it is really cute.. The boys just roll their eyes at the silliness. At the moment they are at our local skating rink (checking out boys I'm sure).Here they are piled up on my bed watching movies.

We also have our "adopted" son Tim this weekend...we haven't really adopted him but he is very much a part of our family. He and Caleb ahve been friends since the 1st grade. My husband and I love him just as much as if he were our own child. We don't see him as much now...he has a job and a girlfriend.

Well the weather had been AWESOME!!!...everything is in full bloom...But just as I predicted...another cold front has blown in. I hope it blows on out of here FAST. My double purple angel trumpet has a bloom on it that was just about to open....but after this cold I am not sure if it will open...They are so pretty...its like two flowers in one...I at least got a shot of the bloom.

Today while I was grooming Joey...of course I had to stop what I was doing and deal with Princess Lucy! But then again ...my day would not be complete without Lucy getting into something.

What A Naughty Kitten!

Well...I guess that is about it for this week. Hopefull the weather will be better next week so I can get outside with the camera.

OH LOOK!...Now it's tired!

Favorite Photo Friday! 03/06/09

I didn't get many photo's this week. Matthew wasn't feeling well...but I am happy to report he is back to school and back to his normal silly self. I also has this strange wave of energy that allowed me to get my spring cleaning pretty much done! Tomorrow will be the big burning of papers, a cook out and outside games (weather permitting).

My favorite photo of the week would have to be:
Caleb...he left for Disney World yesterday...I shot a few pics of him as he left the house. He was so excited and um really SILLY! he misplaced two important things he needed for the trip...but we found them and got him off on time...I love him to pieces but the boy makes us TIRED! LOL He called us twice from the bus last night...he has never been away from home without his family....but he is excited and I know he will have a blast! I am thankful for the high school band teachers and band boosters...they do and have done so much for our children. I am also thankful that we are able to send them on this trip.

Next would have to be...yep...Princess Lucy! Shelby gave her a bath this week. She is always really good...but she doesn't like it. As you will see....she got through it and is back to her sweet silly self....and she smells good too! lol

After taking a picture and enlarging...we have determined that our little "Sparky" is indeed a boy..and he has another admirer....The Queen Annie

And finally...I took this picture of the moon a couple of months ago...Isn't it pretty?..Actually it is a little spooky. I got the Chick and Crow at a little country store and restaurant in Mauriceville, Texas. LOL It's the first thing I have bought for our new deck.
